Its cross to the second month that this ix web hosting review blog had been hosted with ixwebhosting.com hosting’s business plan. And will this hosting give me a good services to my site visitors. There is 2 webstat turn one for each of the domain hosted with ixwebhosting. Usually we don’t do duplication in shared hosting environment. Because this is slow down the website, termendously. At localtime 6pm, 25th May 2007, first time i having ftp downtime. The website still can appear as normal, and wordpress blog are accessible like normal days. However, just the ftp account can not be login/accessible. I am using cuteftp ftp client to make ftp connection. Yaisk… this problem still persist. So, quickly i live chat with ix web hosting support and tell them about this problem. OK, my problem got their attention, and after 2 minutes, they reply and said that no problem as their site and they tested it. So, this left one solution, which is the problem is at my side. I try to login from webbrowser to ftp server, still can not connect to server. Frustrated at the beginning, but later i search online for the error message explaination. It lead me to a setting changes on cuteftp software. Change the detect mode to port, and not the auto mode instead. This solved the connected issue. So, the problem is as my side actually.

When ever you refer a new customer to ix hosting, you will receive commissions starting at $50 up to $150 for each successful signup. After hosted my website with IXwebhosting for almost 4 weeks, i realised that this hosting provider is really realible, honest, and can be the choice of my future websites. And best is, i can get dedicated domain name for each of my website hosted here.

I would like to transfer my domain name that i bought through other registra. Here it was previously registered with godaddy, and i would like to transfer it to IX, so that ix hosting would become the domain registra.

I did a quick search at IXwebhosting FAQ centre and also their help centre. Problem is that i can’t find any clue on how ix hosting handle domain transfer. Usually each hoster have their own set of guideline that require to be followed in order for the domain to be transfer successfully. Basically you start with changing the nameserver to the ixwebhosting, then unlock it, and inform the support team to initiate the transfer. Or if they provide control panel for the transfer, just use it to initiate it.

Finally i give up searching, and contacted ixwebhosting support through live chat. A quick few question, i found out that ixwebhosting not offering domain transfer. You only can register new domain name, and included the domain into your existing hosting control panel. There is a section for you to add domain to your account. Since they not offering domain transfer, and not offering domain privacy, i have to give up the thought to transfer my domain to them, and have to stick to current registra.
