If you are looking for shell access due to RoR installation, you can bypass this via ix h-sphere control panel > web option > select your domain > enable RoR. This is how you can enable ruby on rails for your website without going through shell access SSH installation. Additionally is you need to install RoR apps that require shell access, unfortunately it can’t be done in ixwebhosting. Ix web hosting doesn’t provide shell access to their shared hosting account. Alternatively, you will need ixwebhosting vps hosting which allows complete root access and admin access to the server, only via this you can get the RoR Apps installed and configured.
