4.) QUICK GUIDE FOR SETTING UP IXWEBHOSTING EMAIL ACCOUNTS

(1) Go to IXWEBHOSTING control panel at https://manage.ixwebhosting.com and login.
(2) Enter your email address and password.
(3) Click the “Login into your account” button.
(4) Click the “Manage” button next to your hosting account.
(5) Click the “E-mail” button.
(6) Select the desired domain name from the drop down menu.
(7) Click on the “Go” button.
(8) Click on “Add new mail resource” link located at the bottom of the table.
(9) Select the type of email function you would like to use from the drop down menu (Select “Mailbox” for a regular POP3 / IMAP email account).
(10) Enter the first portion of the email address to be used. Note: The domain name for the email address is already specified next to the text box where you will be entering the new email address.
(11) Enter the password for the new email address.
(12) The comment text box is an optional feature that you can use to keep track of information about the email address you are adding.
(13) After specifying the email address you would like to use and its password, hit submit and the new mailbox is created.
Instead of setting up a MAILBOX, you can also setup an email alias, an email forward, a mailing list or an auto responder. For more information about the functions of your control panel, please also refer to the extensive BUILT-IN online help that you can consult by clicking on the “?” icons in your control panel, or refer to our manual located at:

And i can see url redirected to http://webmail.opentransfer.com/ Now i can see the horde webmail interface, and simply enter the right email username and password and i will login to my personal mailbox now:

In Ix web hosting, either of expert plan, business plan or unlimited plan, is supporting email catch-all feature. Its had come to attention, that this catch-all email address is gaining popularity and plan a simple role in ensure emails is received 100%. The usage is simple, for example when you friend email to your email: john@yourdomain.com .. instead he made a typo and the email sent to jonh@yourdomain.com.. today, after i using live chat with ix webhosting support team, finally i found out whats the email sending limit for Ixwebhosting server/hosting. Here is the figures given to me:
- 25 for one SMTP session with equal subject
- 10 per sec
- 300 per day
- 5000 per month
Meaning you can send single email CC to 25 receiptions at once. You can send 10 emails per seconds. Up to 300 per days. This is bit low, but once hit the limit, always can contact ixwebhosting support to rise the email sending limits.
I will host a forums site at ixwebhosting, this email sending limit information is crucial to know. Here i share it with others that need the same info. Comment are welcome.
